OUR STORY
They say behind every great man stands a great woman. Well, my beloved Tilaine doesn’t stand behind me—she stands beside me when I’m strong, in front of me when I’m weak, and occasionally on top of my last nerve when I’ve forgotten something important for the third time.
Let me be brutally honest: I am a walking disaster wrapped in pride, sprinkled with forgetfulness, and topped with impatience. I’m the kind of man who can lose his glasses while wearing them, who argues with GPS even when it’s clearly right, and who somehow believes my way is always the best way.
My wife Tilaine? She is the most graceful, patient, and brilliant woman God ever created. She is the diamond that makes this rough stone shine.
For 28 years, we’ve navigated:
– ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE & DIABETES – Managing chronic illness together, what we jokingly call “two blind people trying to lead each other”
– FOSTER PARENTING – Including bringing home a 3-month-old baby from prayer service on a Tuesday night, and raising a young man from age 8 (he’s now 27 and still part of our family)
– BUILDING KIDDOS WORLD – Our daycare business that served hundreds of families and transformed children’s lives
– FINANCIAL STRUGGLES – Times when we didn’t know how we’d make it, but God always provided
– SPIRITUAL CRISES – Seasons when I forgot my own sermons, and Tilaine became the keeper of my light
– THE DAILY CHOICE – To marry each other again, every single morning

I’m a husband, father, pastor, former daycare owner, and living proof that God has a sense of humor.
For 28 years, I’ve been married to Tilaine—my “diamond” who somehow agreed to marry this self-described “walking disaster.”
My background includes:
– Pastor and community leader (25+ years)
– Co-founder of KIDDOS WORLD FAMILY DAY CARE
– Foster parent to multiple children
– Currently managing Alzheimer’s and diabetes
– Still learning every day how to be a better husband
My biggest struggle? Pride. My biggest teacher? Tilaine, who shows me daily what grace looks like.
